Project 17 - Alexander Iwobi

The P17 Cup is a community initiative charity tournament launched in February 2021 by Fulham FC star Alexander Iwobi, aiming at raising funds and awareness. The project aims to inspire young people to achieve their goals, full potential, and their truest selves. This year's tournament was hosted at Flamingo Park (Cray Wanderers FC ground), partnered with the African-Caribbean Leukaemia Trust to help highlight the urgent need for black blood, stem cell, and organ donors - with only 2% of UK donors being black, despite high prevalence of conditions like sickle cell disease. The all-inclusive, mixed-gender tournament brought together celebrities and influencers, grassroots teams, pro footballers such as Callum Hudson-Odoi and Chuba Akpom, families, and local residents for a festive family-friendly atmosphere.
